FCBRE Links Education and Workforce Needs
By Stacey Lowman
The Frederick County Business Roundtable for Education (FCBRE) was formed to address the current and future workforce needs in the Frederick County business community, with the goal of helping to prepare the next generation of business leaders. A nonprofit partnership, the FCBRE connects classroom learning and the workplace, and promotes academic excellence. It is designed to provide ideas, perspective and real-world experiences that increase opportunities for students and teachers.

In addition, there are multiple other committees that work towards developing new and maintaining and expanding existing programs. Currently, FCBRE holds an annual conference for high school sophomores, titled Future Link, which exposes them to the various career fields through presentations from the business community.
